Position Overview

As the CEO of ATAX, the franchisor of the ATAX retail tax franchise network, you will lead the operations team responsible for supporting all franchisees nationwide. Your primary mission will be to drive the strategic vision, operational excellence, and overall growth of the brand by overseeing the team that provides systems, support, and services to franchisees. Additionally, you will be responsible for expanding the franchise network by identifying new markets, recruiting new franchisees, and fostering their success. This role requires an innovative and hands-on leader with proven experience in franchising, multi-unit business operations, and scalable process development. You will champion the brand's mission to deliver top-tier tax preparation, financial services, and franchise support, fostering a high-performance culture aligned with our core values of integrity, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

In this role, you will work closely with the operations team, franchisees, leadership, vendors, and industry partners to expand our national footprint, enhance operational efficiencies, and strengthen brand positioning in the retail tax and financial services sector. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding the support functions that help franchisees succeed, as well as actively growing the franchise system through new franchisee acquisition and market expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the operations team that supports all franchisees, ensuring they have the resources, systems, and guidance needed for success

• Develop and execute the strategic vision for ATAX, focusing on franchise growth, operational support, and brand expansion

• Drive efforts to recruit and onboard new franchisees, expanding the franchise network into new markets

• Oversee the development and implementation of programs that enhance franchisee profitability, compliance, training, and operational standards

• Foster strong, collaborative relationships with franchisees, ensuring they are well-supported and aligned with brand standards

• Drive continuous process improvements, technological advancements, and innovative solutions to support franchise operations

• Manage the financial health of the parent company, including budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation for operations and franchise support

• Cultivate a company culture centered on accountability, integrity, teamwork, and results-driven performance

• Ensure seamless alignment between operations, marketing, training, finance, and franchise development to meet strategic goals

• Represent ATAX at industry events, conferences, and media to enhance brand visibility and industry leadership

• Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to keep the franchise system competitive and innovative

Qualifications

• Extensive executive leadership experience, preferably within franchising, retail financial services, or professional services industries

• Proven success in leading operations teams that support multi-unit franchise systems or similar organizations

• Strong understanding of franchise systems, compliance, and franchisee support mechanisms

• Demonstrated ability to implement scalable processes, digital transformation, and operational efficiencies

• Experience in franchise development, including franchisee recruitment and market expansion

• Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills

• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with a focus on operational excellence

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced education or relevant leadership certifications preferred
